"The level of play's been acceptable," Nash said in assessing his season's first 52 games. "I feel very positive but I also feel like it's been a tough year. Most of it has been a bit of a struggle, mentally and emotionally, with just trying to get the group over the hump collectively. It's been a difficult one. So considering that, I'm not too disappointed with anything, but I don't think it's my best year."

Steve Nash:I think you can get too focused on the championship and forget how rewarding it is to be part of a team.

Raja Bell:
BELL RINGS JUST IN TIME
Before Tuesday’s game, Raja Bell talked about his frustrations – both with his own game and the adjustments to the team after playing one way for two and a half years. And those frustrations only rose during the game when he missed his first nine shots from the field while young Juan Carlos Navarro was “cooking me” for six 3-pointers and 23 points on the other end.
But Bell regrouped down the stretch with three 3-pointers in the final five minutes and left the game with a smile.
“It became real lonely out there for awhile, but I stuck with it,” said Bell – who finished 3-for-12 and has now shot less than 50 percent in 11 of the last 13 games. “I was open and a lot of the shots felt good. If I’m going to be out there and playing, I’m going to keep shooting when I’m open. I’d rather make a few and spread the misses out a little more, but I’ll take it.”

Amare Stoudemire:

"He's trying a little too hard. He's trying to be a little too fine tuned," D'Antoni said.

Paul Coro：When Steve is interested or engaged in a topic, he's really great to talk to because he's so bright. The problem is, most things bore him. The day-to-day minutia kind of bores him. But if you find a topic that stimulates him, he's a great interview. He's always accommodating and always gives you a thoughtful answer, but when his eyes light up on a topic, it's totally different. Everybody's good in their own way. Shawn is actually a really good guy. He'll be one of the only guys that will ask you how your family's doing, and ask you questions about you, and he's actually interested. Raja's a real good interview to talk to. He's a very enlightened guy as far as personality of the team. I like talking to LB because he's always so happy and honest. He just says the funniest things sometime. It's amazing how strong his English is. Amare, for a superstar, has always been very available for me.
